Here are some pictures I thought you all would enjoy from our family trip that we took the end of May. We went to the Botanical Gardens in Alabama. We really enjoyed the gardens even though we were a few weeks late for some of their peak flowers. Anthony had a blast to because they have all these play spots for children spread out through the gardens. It was well designed for enjoyment of all ages. I would love to go back there again over the time when all their daylilies and roses are in full bloom.

Peaking out the window of the flower pot treehouse.

The little train village!

Driving the boat…..

He had so much fun with all the slides they had.

Anthony’s butterfly wings! These little chairs were so cute.

We also visited the Huntsville Depot Museum.

Just a quick post…
As you know I have been involved in medical missions and other ministry in Haiti for the last 7 years. Throughout this time the Lord has opened many doors to us for ministering to believers and nonbelievers in Haiti. Since the earthquake we have had opportunities to serve with medical care in some areas that do not currently have adequate access to health care. Right now it looks like we may be able to continue to provide this service for the next several months. For more information please visit www.aidforhaiti.org.
-til the next time, Philip

I had the day off. Off from school, off from studying, just plain off. It was nice. Actually, it was quite nice. I got to spend the majority of the day with my wonderful wife and son. And I loved it! So what about this picture? I just wondered if I could make anyone jealous with the sight of my supper; a fajita plate all fixed up!
Two more pictures for your enjoyment – not taken today, but I have time to post them today.
(Both of these photos are from Rock City on Lookout Mountain in the Chattanooga, TN area)

Well, here is a quick photo update on our growing boy! I’m sorry to all of you who have been regularly checking to see if there was an updated post. I will try to not let it go so long be fore the next update.
Anthony is growing up and will be a year old in another month. These pictures are from when he was 10 months old. He is really chattering and almost walking! There are numbers of words that he tries to repeat and it is so much fun watching him discover and learn new things!
Strawberry all over his face but he sure enjoyed it!
Helping husk corn and then for the best part, getting to eat it!
He loves to have books read to him! They are reading The Little Engine That Could.
This is his walker! Pushing it around gave him the confidence he needed to try walking on his own.
He loves to lay on pillows and will say “Ahh!” ever time he lays his head down.
I just love his big blue eyes!
He was sitting on the porch eating a snack and I called his name and he looked up at me with this questioning look!
Enjoying an apple!

Talking to Daddy!
Look at his face, he has such a puzzled look! He is watching Daddy start the mower.
Waving hi to Daddy!
This is his new past time, playing with his diapers.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures!
Until next time! Have a good week.

Wow…. it has been a while since this was updated! We have been very busy since I last did an update.
The end of May we moved from Memphis to Chattanooga. I don’t miss Memphis one bit! Yes, there are a few friends there that we miss and hope to see again but Chattanooga is a much nicer city! People are so friendly here too. Philip and I keep commenting to each other how different the people are. You would go to town in Memphis and hardly anyone would talk to you or even smile. Here people are always stopping to talk to Anthony or smiling and wishing you a good day! Our house and place is also nicer. In Memphis you could see 26 houses from our front porch, here you can only kind of see 6! We also have more yard which is very nice. I will be able to have a garden now and there is more room for Anthony to run around as he gets older. I also like being able to go outside whenever I want! We have some wonderful neighbors living next to us! They came over and talked to Anthony and me the other day. Here are a few random pictures of our house.

this is an ocean scenery I made up
Philip has started his Family Medicine rotation. For the next several weeks he is working in a doctor’s office. After that he will spend several weeks in the hospital doing Family Medicine. The doctor he is working for sound very nice. I’m just praying that all goes well for him through out his clinical years and that the Lord would make it clear what kind of doctor he should be.
Anthony is growing up! He has been crawling for over a month now! He got his first tooth through on Father’s Day! For the past month he has been pulling himself up at the table legs and couch. He is really good at walking along things now! The other day he even tried to let go and walk on his own which ended in a little bruise on his cheek. His balance is getting pretty good but not quite good enough to walk on his own. He is also really starting to chatter a lot. In the mornings when Philip leaves he waves and says bye. He also says Dada, Mama, hi and will make a few animal sounds sometimes. This past weekend he learned how to shake his head no. I can hardly believe that he will be nine months old in a few days! Time sure goes by fast. Now for the part you are all looking for….the pictures!
I love my bath and I can’t wait till this water gets done!
O yea! Finally, I’m in the water!
Dear me, Daddy is taking a picture of me getting a bath.
Funny Mama she put water on my head!
On some hot days Mama gives me a pan of water to splash in.
I’m growing up and can stand up at things all by myself!
Do I look silly?
Oh my I do look silly!
Would you please take this funny thing off my head?!
My favorite thing to do outside! I just love to swing and get all excited when Mama asks me if I want to go outside! It sure is fun to swing and feel the wind in my hair.
Pure joy….
Hope you enjoyed my pictures. See you all later!
